PSECA Outreach
A voluntary prevention service supporting young people (ages 12–24) and their families who are experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation. Guided by the Protection of Sexually Exploited Children’s Act (PSECA), this service is a community-based initiative focused on prevention and early intervention.
Accessible to youth, families, and young adults across Lethbridge and area.

Core Services
- Education & Support: Promotes personal safety, well-being, and awareness for youth, families and the broader community.
- Assessment & Engagement: Identifies risk factors and places youth along the prevention continuum.
- Safety & Crisis Planning: Tailored strategies to reduce vulnerability based on individual needs.
- Counselling & Psychoeducation: Builds healthy relationships, personal boundaries, and understanding of the exploitation cycle.
- Referrals to Resources: Supported connections to mental health, substance use, homelessness, and family conflict services.
- Daily Living Strategies: Encourages independence, well-being, and personal autonomy.
- Family Relationship Support: Strengthens natural support networks and family connections.
- Access to Opportunities: Provides pathways to meaningful activities, education, and employment.
