We understand and appreciate that every child or adolescent and his/her family has unique needs when it comes to treating mental health issues.
Keeping families together is a priority for Wood’s Homes - we take a family-centred approach in each of our 40+ programs. Our services are divided into six pillars - each one with several different programs and services. For more detailed information about each program, we welcome you to browse the pillars below.
The majority of our programs are offered in Calgary, but we are also proud to be working with children and families in Lethbridge, Canmore, Strathmore and Fort McMurray. We also welcome youth from across Canada.
Crisis and conflict are processes most of us will experience at some point in our lives. Whatever the situation or problem - large or small - we are here to listen and help.
We provide shelter for young people in Lethbridge and Fort McMurray. Services (at some locations) include mobile outreach, counselling and referrals.
Wood's Homes has always been committed to putting the voices of families first. In our family-centred approach we see famillies as active participants and decision-makers in the selection of services for themselves and their children, as well as in the development of procedures, processes and evaluation of services.
Our live-in treatment programs encompass three main areas, including Therapeutic Campus-Based Care, Specialized Treatment and Therapeutic Community Care.
The EXIT Youth Hub, located at our Inglewood Campus, is a one-stop-shop for homeless and at-risk youth. By providing a combination of services in one location, we remove the barriers of having to navigate complex systems in a magnitude of locations.
Education is an integral part of our mental health services - every client of ours participates in specialized learning. We are proud to have a school on our Calgary campuses (Bowness and Parkdale) and also provide services at Children's Village School in Calgary's Renfrew community.
Please note that some of our programs are by referral only and are not available to the general public. If you have a referral for a specific program, you can find below:
