Our Services

Inglewood Opportunity Hub

When the pandemic arrived in March 2020, Wood’s Homes pivoted services to ensure wrap-around support for our clients, while also addressing urgent needs and food security challenges through outreach. COVID-19’s impact on mental health and socio-economic well-being made us realize this program needed to realign its services to remove gaps. We are expanding the scope of our services for vulnerable young people with a focus on serving multi-barriered youth up to 29 years of age.

The new Inglewood Opportunity Hub (formerly the EXIT Youth Hub/EXIT Community Outreach) now will focus on three main areas:

  • Well-Being, Mental and Physical Health
  • Specialized Employment Support
  • Housing Services and Support

The Hub will provide improved access to wellness opportunities such as yoga and hair appointments; mentorship through peers and volunteers; and learning, skill development and employment opportunities.

Also new to the Hub is our counselling/therapy service for individuals and families (via Eastside Community Mental Health Services), as well as young people participating in the employment and housing programs

The Inglewood Opportunity Hub (The 'Hub') remains a one-stop shop for vulnerable youth. By providing a combination of services in one location, we remove the barriers of having to navigate complex systems in a magnitude of locations.

The Hub also now provides improved access to wellness opportunities, such as yoga and hair appointments, mentorship through peers and volunteers, and learning, skill development and employment opportunities.

This realignment will further reduce having to navigate complex mental health supports and systems to ensure easier access and availability.
