Wood’s Homes is a 100-year-old multi-service, community-owned and operated children’s mental health centre. 400 staff work in 35 programs and services in Calgary, Lethbridge, Canmore, Strathmore, Fort McMurray and Fort Smith, N.W.T. We are a place you can turn to for help at any time.
2014 marked our anniversary year and we'd like to thank the community for helping us to build so many long-lasting memories of our celebrations. Many changes have taken place since 1914 and as much as we look toward the next century of services, we look back to the same mission that guided Reverend George and Annie Wood in their work with vulnerable children and their families.
We Never Say No. We Never Give Up. We Never Turn Anyone Away.
Our crisis and counselling programs offer community-based services to families and children in need.
In-home family support services provide culturally-sensitive services to children, youth and families in their home, school and community settings.
Street Services offers a range of services for homeless and at-risk youth in Calgary, Lethbridge, Fort McMurray and Fort Smith
These programs provide a range of support and treatment services for residents with complex and varied histories and unique physical, mental and/or behavioural needs.
Youth in Transition Programs help young people transition into the 'next steps' of adulthood.
Family Support Network Calgary and Family Connections Lethbridge are innovative pilot programs developing outcomes-based approaches to child and family intervention.
Our network of care extends throughout Alberta and into the North with services, programs and facilities in Lethbridge, Wheatland County, Fort McMurray and Fort Smith, N.W.T.
It’s a time to celebrate as 2014 marks a century of our services for vulnerable children, adolescents and their families!
