We work collaboratively with the Fort McMurray community to ensure we are addressing the ever-changing and complex needs of the young people who live here. Our Fort McMurray services include the Stepping Stones Youth Services and Outreach Services.
Homeless and at-risk youth (ages 12-17) are welcome to access Stepping Stones Youth Services - a temporary shelter operated by Wood’s Homes, in the Fort McMurray community of Dickensfield (address below).
The shelter offers a safe place for young people who are not living at home for various reasons. In addition, the home assists youth and their families/caregivers to work through problems and prevent further family breakdown. We also provide support to the youth and their family.
The shelter is open seven days a week (24-hours a day).
Referral sources can be from anyone, including the youth, and are accepted on a 24-hour basis.
