Wood's Homes serves 460 children and their families every day of the year. We provide 30 programs for young people between the ages of 6 and 24, and their families. Our services are divided into four main areas:
1. Crisis and Outreach Programs offer community-based services, either by their presence in the community, their outreach capacity or their crisis-oriented service approach to families and children in need. This area also includes our Foster Care Network.
2. Intensive Residential Programs offer services to troubled young people (including adolescent sex offenders, Aboriginal youth with substance abuse challenges, and youth with complex mental health and behavioural challenges) who live with us anywhere from 4 days to 2-3 years or more, if necessary.
3. Regional and Rural Programs are those services located outside the Calgary area. They include Lethbridge, Canmore, Strathmore, Fort Smith, N.W.T. and Fort McMurray.
4. Specialized Learning Centres are a variety of therapeutic/education services offered both within Wood's Homes and the community in partnership with the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Separate School District.
