Wood's Homes is a non-profit, nationally accredited children’s mental health treatment centre, based in Calgary. We also provide services in Canmore, Strathmore, Lethbridge, Fort McMurray and Fort Smith, N.W.T.
Wood’s Homes began as an orphanage in 1914. Today it operates more than 30 programs and services that include:
• Services for homeless youth
• Specialized Learning Centres
• Residential Treatment
• No-cost, walk-in counselling services
• Foster Care
Serving more than 20,000 troubled young people and their families every year, Wood’s Homes employs 350 people at any given time, and we are A Workplace of Choice.

Commitment to high-risk adolescents, challenged with some very tough issues, is not easy and the reality is that most problems surface after hours. These are the times when our frontline workers spring into action. Work hours at Wood’s Homes are typically round-the-clock and the type of work we do requires quick thinking, confidence, forgiveness and persistence. Because of the complexity of our work, Wood's Homes prefers to hire individuals with degrees or diplomas and professional affiliations.
